David Hodgdon: General Manager / 2nd Assistant Professional

 

David Hodgdon is the General Manager at Maplegate Country Club.  After serving as an assistant in 2009 & 2010, he assumed the General Managers position in 2011.  David grew up in Medway and was a classmate of our Head Professional Greg, graduating Medway High in 1983.

David's primary background is in business.  After years in Sales Management and as a small business owner, David decided it was time for a career change.  His love of the game brought him to Maplegate.  A three Handicap, David started playing golf in the mid 1990's.  He enjoy's teaching clinics with Greg and hopes to pursue his PGA Class A Status over the next few years.

 

Gregory Dowdell:  PGA Professional / Director of Golf

Greg Dowdell is the Director of Golf and P.G.A. Professional at Maplegate Country Club. Greg grew up in Medway, graduating high school in 1983 after a very succesful four year varsity golfing career at Medway High. Greg matriculated at Umass Amherst, earning a degree in Engineering.

Greg returned to Maplegate after college and began pursuing his Class A status as a P.G.A. Professional. He moved to Florida to further his education and experience, working at Boca Lago Country Club for four years, rising to the rank of First Assistant. Greg received his Class A status in 2000 and continued his teaching career after moving home to Medway and resuming his career with Maplegate. He has created and run numerous programs for both adults and children, including the Golf College for children which has educated thousands of children since its inception in 2001. Greg has also served as the Head Coach for the Medway High Golf team for the past eight years.

Greg has worked with golfers of all abilities from beginners to experts, and is available for both group and individual lessons. Greg has also worked with many corporations such as E.M.C.; running both leagues and clinics for Business Professionals.

Chris Wickwire: 1st Assistant Professional

 

Michael Hofeldt:  3rd Assistant Professional

Michael is the newest member in the Maplegate clubhouse.  Recently relocating to Franklin from Arizon where he had served as an Assistant Professional at Club West Golf Club in Phoeniz Az. from 2001-2007,  Michael brings an Associates Degree in Golf Operations Management from The Golf Academy located in Chandler AZ. as well as a Bachelors Degree in Techincal Management from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University also located in Chandler AZ.

With years of experience in schooling, teaching, and hands on experience, we are looking forward to Mike fitting in well with the Maplegate staff.
